Our wonderful Farm Club will be opening again after our winter hiberantion on Tuesday 25th February - Tuesday 24th March 3pm pick up from Dartington School - 5:15pm for 5 weeks. Our Farm Club leader Victoria Bryant , is fully Forest School trained and designs her sessions based on the seasons, farm work that is being carried out, woodland activities and is planned using a child-led pedagogy that focuses around nature, food, the farm and the seasons. Children will be collected from Dartington Primary School and walk up to the farm looking at wild foraging opportunities along the way. (If your children do not attend Dartington Primary please still look at booking - we can meet you at the farm or at the school) The Farm Clubbers will carry out a number of farm based activities harvest main crop onions, tomatoes, kales, sweetcorn, apples, plums and more, they will learn about plant cycles. The children will be able to explore the farm and woodlands and whilst taking part in lots of fun activities they will learn about food and its seasonality as well as how to look after the chickens and cows, learn about wildlife in the woodlands and on the farm and how to look after the woodlands. We will usually cook or prepare fresh fruit and vegetables for snacks every week using the produce from the farm. Packing extra snacks, water bottles, appropriate clothing and sun cream, hats etc is essential
