Event Details

Discover the wild harvest! An introduction to the edible wild fruits, herbs and spices of autumn during a short circular walk around Quarry Farm. Leaving The Hub for an hour and a half's walk, followed by a taster plate of wild food treats and warming elderberry mulled cider (or mulled apple juice), served seated back outside The Hub.

Sarah Watson, experienced foraging tutor of Wild Feast, will show you a wealth of wild edibles, share her ideas on ways to use them in food recipes and booze infusions, and explain how to forage safely.

Times: 2 walks to choose from,
11am to 12.30pm, or
2pm to 3.30pm.
After each walk there will be tasters served back outside The Hub.

Meeting point: Outside The Hub at Quarry Farm, Bodiam.

Children: Children are very welcome, although foraging walks may not be suitable for all children, especially those around 8 years old or less - it depends on the child and their interests. The walk will be slow-paced with a lot of talking. A child price ticket is for under 16's.

Accessibility: The route around the farm is not especially suitable for wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs.

Availability: A maximum of 20 places per walk. Subject to availability, there will be some tickets to purchase on the day.

Cancellation: Tickets are generally non-refundable, but you can pass your ticket(s) to someone else if you can't attend.
