Well-being in Nature
This training is for anyone who would like to use the outdoors to improve their own well-being or to support others. No prior knowledge or experience required.
Using theory from Carl Jung, Joanna Macey, Vandana Shiva, Satish Kumar and Starhawk to mention a few. Constantly practical and packed with ideas and activities, this course will be informed by the participants needs as they present. The themes will be:
- Observing the patterns in nature around us and over time
- Recognizing our environments for the impacts they have on how we think and feel
- Identifying what we can do in a group to improve our own well being and that of others
- Learning how to listen to our own still voice
About the trainer
With over 30 years of experience of using the natural world for well being, Jane, our resident ethnobotanist, brings experiences and practice from the High Andes and Eastern Europe, Ireland, Wales and UK; from developing sensory skills and stillness to using plants for well being.
