Event Details

An Ensonglopedia is a musical and alphabetical adventure, with this show featuring twenty-six animal songs, one for each letter of the alphabet. Get to grips with fascinating facts about extraordinary echinoderms, distressed damselflies, crazy corals, batty birds and amazing arachnids. Expect the unexpected. And expect it to rhyme!

This is the new show from John Hinton, creator of hit 2017 show Ensonglopedia of Science (nominated for a Children's Choice Award at Brighton Fringe 2017). Ensonglopedia of Animals is funded by Arts Council England and the British Ecological Society, and the songs are peer reviewed by Brighton’s Sea Life Centre, Drusilla’s Zoo Park, Raystede Animal Sanctuary, and the Universities of Sussex, Durham, Bangor and Reading.

Simultaneously entertaining and educational.  For anyone aged 5+.

"Infectiously fun, genuinely clever, and impossible to dislike...Brilliant!"   Brighton and Hove News ★★★★★
"Ensonglopedia of Animals is a riot and Hinton is a passionate and imaginative entertainer."    Broadway Baby ★★★★
"Hinton's performance hovers on the boundary between genius and chaos...it's clever, it's tuneful and it's a lot of fun; Hinton's hit the right note again!"   Fringe Guru ★★★★

“It was fantastic for the children to be exposed to scientific facts, different music genres and obscure animals, all at the same time! My class were hooked, they can’t stop talking about it!” Miss Sykes, Ormiston South Parade Academy.
