Come and listen to the inspiring story of Chrissie Wellington OBE as she describes the challenges and triumphs of her outstanding triathlon career and her passion for equality in sport. 

Chrissie is a former professional triathlete and four-time Ironman Triathlon World Champion. She holds, or held, all three world and championship records relating to ironman-distance triathlon races: firstly, the overall world record, secondly, the Ironman World Championship course record, and thirdly, the official world record for all Ironman-branded triathlon races over the full Ironman distance.

After the main talk there will be an opportunity for book signings so bring your copy of "A Life Without Limits" and "To the Finish Line". We will also have a limited number of books for sale.

There will be an open bar in the Town Hall and a raffle with some great prizes including a hot air balloon flight. 

We will be raising funds for local charity Action on Poverty who are focused on providing economic solutions to address hunger, injustice and barriers to safe and lasting work for marginalised groups in Sub Saharan Africa and South Asia.

The event is hosted by Evesham Vale Triathletes with a proportion of the funds going to support athletes and juniors in the club.

Pre-Event Information: 

The nearest car parks are Merstow Green, Bewdley Street and Oat Street, all free after 6pm. There are cycle racks immediately adjacent to the Town Hall. 

The entrance to the town hall is off the Market Square, to the right of the Valkyie Bar and the hall is on the first floor. There is a lift. Please bring your confirmation email on a mobile device if possible or as a print out.

Seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 6:15pm and the bar will be open for refreshments. The talk will begin at 7:00pm. Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break.

We will be selling a limited number of Chrissie's books after the talk that you can then have signed. Please bring cash if you intend buying a book.
